Free WiFi

The Adams County Library has free WiFi access both inside and outside the building.  Thanks to a grant funded in part by the Institute for Museum and Library Services (www.imls.gov) we have excellent Wi-Fi available outside the south side of our building.  No password is needed but please be aware that there is no security on the system.  Just connect your device to Library-Wireless for service.  Available 24/7/365.

You can now print from your wireless device at the Library!  Click the link below to open our ePrintIt page and follow the instructions.  Documents or images can be sent to the printer at any time.  The Library staff will print out your order when you arrive at the library.  Regular printing fees apply for anything we print out.  Items sent to the printer but not requested in person will not be printed. Click on this link.

Public Computers at the Library

Public computer

The Library offers 10 workstations with internet connections ready for use.  These are available for use whenever the library is open.  No information is saved on the computer when a patron logs off.  Information may be downloaded to a flash drive (available for purchase from the Library), stored in the “cloud” online (Dropbox is a popular option), burned to a CD, or emailed to the patron’s personal account for later access.  Items can be printed in black and white for 25 cents a page; color prints are available for 50 cents a page.

You can reserve a computer for a specific time through the MyPC application.  You will need your library card number and your PIN number to make a reservation.

A reservation is not needed to use a computer.  Any open computer in the Library is available for login by any patron with her/his library card number and PIN number.  Guest passes are available for anyone who does not have a valid library card.  Forgotten PIN numbers can be reset by any library staff member—just ask for help.

Computers are available for a maximum of 120 minutes—2 hours—each day.  Additional time for needs like online testing may be arranged by speaking with Library staff in advance of the date.
