Update -- Services during the Health Emergency (April 2021)

Updated as of March 26, 2021

Open for Browsing

Beginning April 5, 2021, Adams County Library is opening the stacks for browsing.  This new service level was approved by the Library Board on March 15.  We are happy to welcome everyone back!

To keep everyone safe, the Library has limited the number of people in the library at a time.  Please make a reservation to be sure you can come at a time that works for you.  That said, feel free to call from the door if you are in the area.  Chances are good we will be able to let you in even if you don’t have a reservation. The Community Center doors will be locked, but a phone call to 608-339-4250 during our open hours will bring a staff member to open the door.

We are continuing all of our other services.  Curbside service continues—call to set up a time to pick up your books and DVDs.  Computers are available inside for the public to use.  We also have space to sit with laptops or other devices using our free WiFi.  The library can photocopy your documents either in color ($0.50/side) or black-and-white ($0.25/side).  Print jobs also may be sent from the public PCs, or ordered wirelessly from your own device.  Faxing is also available.  Call us if you have questions.

Patrons are required to wear masks that cover their nose, mouth, and chin while they are in the Library.  Computers are spaced for social distancing.

The library encourages patrons to use curbside service for picking up items. To set this up, call (608-339-4250) or email (ACLibraryWisc [at] gmail.com (ACLibraryWisc[at]gmail[dot]com)) with details of the items you want. Staff will set up an appointment for you.

Donations for the Food Pantry are happily accepted.  There is a bin inside the library for drop-offs.  Food donations may also be placed in a plastic bag and left by the Library's curbside pickup table at the back door of the Library.

PLEASE NOTE: All items that are returned to the library are being quarantined for 24 hours. This means your account will display items as being "Checked out" after you have returned them. Please don't worry about "overdues."  No fines accrue while items are being quarantined.  We appreciate your patience on this.
